Next-Gen SCARA Robot for Efficient Manufacturing

The IRB 930 is a SCARA robot family developed for precise and efficient execution of point-to-point tasks such as assembly, pick-and-place, and screwdriving. It includes three variants—IRB 930-12/0.85, IRB 930-12/1.05, and IRB 930-22/1.05—offering payload capacities of 12 or 22 kg and reach options up to 1.05 meters. All models provide cycle times as low as 0.38 seconds and repeatability of ±0.01 mm, making them suitable for high-speed, accuracy-critical workflows.

The robot design includes internal cabling for reduced footprint and improved cable protection, and supports integration of up to 20 I/O connections for grippers and auxiliary components. With a maximum downward force of 250 N, the IRB 930 is particularly suitable for screwdriving applications requiring stable contact. All variants operate on ABB’s OmniCore controllers, offering precise motion control and support for modern industrial communication protocols.
